Jonas Schaffter was born in 1988 in Metzerlen, Switzerland. From 2009 to 2013 he absolved the Basel School of Design and obtained the Bachelor in Visual Communication. Inbetween, from 2011 to 2012, he studied Photography at the Mimar Sinan University, Istanbul. From 2013 to 2016 he worked at point de vue, Basel, on documentaries and art projects. 2020 he completed his master studies at the department of film, ZHdK, Zurich. «Arada» is his first feature documentary.
