soap factory GmbH is a production company in Basel, Switzerland. Originally producing edgy, low budget fiction films, the company later specialized in creative/auteur documentaries with a focus on politically charged, poetic works as well as first films.

«Elephants & Squirrels»: Italian Premiere

A few days after the Asian Premiere of «Elephants & Squirrels» at the 50th Hong Kong International Film Festival, director Gregor Brändli will travel to Bolzano for the Italian Premiere of the documentary at the 39th Bolzano Film Festival Bozen. «Elephants & Squirrels» has been officially selected for the festival’s RealeNonReale section, dedicated to non-fiction and a wide variety of hybrid and documentary forms, highlighting the most unconventional films by both established masters and emerging talents, as well as works that engage with political issues and address the key themes of their time and the society in which they were created.
